Metallica’s 2009 show is still on course to become the biggest selling rock concert in the history of Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena with the last few remaining tix on sale.

The bulk of the venue sold out within two hours but officials tell rushonrock that it is still possible to make a date with metal’s biggest band next year. And quite frankly you’d be mad to miss out on this one.

But first up at our favourite indoor arena are those masked madmen of Slipknot and next month’s show is fast reaching capacity. More than three quarters of the tickets for the Des Moines posse had been sold by the end of last month and a fresh surge on sales is expected next week.

For availability on both gigs check out metroradioarena.co.uk or call 0844 4934567. See you there.
