Symphonic metal stars Nightwish have announced that they will be returning to the UK and Europe on their 2020 world tour.

The Finnish legends have already announced a show in Amsterdam – which sold more than 15,000 tickets in just a few days – swiftly followed up by an additional show at the same venue, alongside shows in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.

Now fans can look forward to more shows across Europe plus two in the UK – Cardiff and London – set for winter 2020.

Finnish band Turmion Kätilöt will support Nightwish on the tour.

Nightwish are currently working on a new studio album, due in 2020 and as a bit of of a taster ahead of the tour, their new live release, Decades: Live In Buenos Aires, will be released on December 6, 2019.

December 9 – Brose Arena, Bamberg

December 10 – Festhalle, Frankfurt

December 12 – Stadthalle, Vienna,

December 14 – Max-Schmeling-Halle, Berlin
