Tequila Mockingbyrd – Fight And Flight (Third Verse)

Genre: Garage Rock

Remember when The Runaways really rocked? Missing that little bit of L7 in your life? Looking for an Aussie alternative to RUSHONROCK faves The Amorettes? Like cheesy plays on words?

Tequila Mockingbyrd tick all of the above boxes…and more. And the best news is they’re heading over to the UK with fellow countrymen Massive this autumn for what promises to be one of the wildest rock and roll shows we can possibly imagine.

Fight And Flight is feisty, full throttle garage rock that offers a nod to AC/DC but never goes fully Airbourne. The Melbourne three-piece are clearly hellbent on honing their own sound and style but it’s the classic elements of their core riffage that will appeal to the head banging masses.

Opener I Smell Rock And Roll is a humdinger of a mission statement and the dirt cheap tunes only get rowdier. Half Of The Man is hilariously deadpan while Jagerbomb sums up Tequila Mockingbyrd’s party spirit.

On the live stage is where this tantalising trio will fall or rise but Fight And Flight suggests they’ve got nothing to fear. We can’t wait to find out for sure.
