Reckless Love – InVader (Spinefarm)
Genre: Hair Metal
Red hot Finns Reckless Love are in the form of their life on album number four with InVader set to fire the hair metal throwbacks into the rock and roll stratosphere.
Jam-packed with singalong anthems and monster riffs there may be nothing original about a record primed to start the glam-tastic party.
But where Steel Panther choose to poke fun at the genre that spawned Poison, Ratt, Warrant and more these boys do it for real.
There’s sleaze, cheese and lyrics penned to make grown women go weak at the knees. And if there is a hint of irony at the heart of everything Reckless Love release then it’s buried beneath a genuine passion for fret-fuelled fun.
Upbeat opener We Are The Weekend, synth-tinged slow burner Child Of The Sun and Beach Boys pastiche Scandinavian Girls showcase the very best of this band’s canny ability to craft a killer tune.
And when Reckless Love sign off by imploring their fans to Keep It Up All Night there’s every reason to follow their lead.
