Boldly billing themselves as arena metal, the cocky Californians who make up Crown Jewel Defense clearly don’t lack confidence.
Heading out on a headline tour of the UK this month – and with a tidy cover of Guns N Roses’ Nightrain doing the rounds – it’s pretty obvious they have potential.
Insisting they do ‘everything better than everyone else’ there are those who might suggest the quartet are setting themselves up for an almighty fall.
But a 15-date jaunt across Britain that started in Southampton on July 1 and runs until July 19 will surely reveal whether the band has the songs to support the bravado.
High profile supports with The Darkness, Foxy Shazam, Young Guns and All Time Low have seen CJD’s reputation go through the roof.
And if it’s going to take time to realise that arena dream then we reckon it won’t be too long before the band is kissing the club circuit goodbye.
