He might be minus songwriting partner and Wildheart Ginger these days but Michael Monroe is making the most of a critically acclaimed album and demand for his renowned live show.
The former Hanoi Rocks’ frontman debuted his new-look band – featuring Backyard Babies’ Dregen in Ginger’s stead – at High Voltage last weekend.
And now he’s announced plans to tour the UK again this autumn on a co-headline jaunt featuring Murderdolls’ Wednesday 13 and sleazy Swedes Crashdiet in support.
Monroe said: “I’m so looking forward to these shows and of course we’ll be bringing along our brand new guitarist Dregen, who everyone will know from the Backyard Babies. We’ve really hit the jackpot here!”
Wednesday 13 added: “I’m really excited to be sharing the stage with Michael again. He’s a true rock ‘n’ roller and has been a huge inspiration on me.”
Wednesday 13, Michael Monroe & Crashdiet will be playing the following dates:
Nov 24th – Wolverhampton, Wulfrun Hall
Nov 25th – Manchester, Ritz
Nov 26th – Nottingham, Rock City
Nov 27th – Glasgow, Garage
Nov 28th – Newcastle, Academy
Nov 29th – Leeds, Academy
Dec 1st – Bristol, Academy
Dec 2nd – London, Electric Ballroom
Monroe’s latest studio album, Sensory Overdrive, is now on release via Spinefarm Records, along with current single Superpowered Superfly. A new single/video, Trick Of The Wrist, will be released to coincide with the above tour.
