They always said ‘never say never’ and it seems they were right. Less than two years after playing to sell-out crowds on their ‘farewell’ tour, those Thunder boys are back – reforming to play an exclusive set at this summer’s High Voltage Festival!
Luke Morley, of course, is no stranger to the Victoria Park stage after the Union opened up the first day’s proceedings at the inaugural HV shindig last July. But Thunder aren’t the only new act confirmed to play the rising star of UK festivals…
Multi-million selling prog metal heroes Queensryche have also signed up for duty alongside Spock’s Beard and Transatlantic founder member Neal Morse.
And fans of blues rock are in for a real treat with emerging stars Saint Jude set to hit the main stage for what will be their biggest showcase to date.
Also added to an increasingly eclectic bill are proggers Anathema and Curved Air with a multitude of big name bands set to follow.
Judas Priest will play their final UK festival show at High Voltage in July and fellow headliners Dream Theater have also revealed their Victoria Park set will be the only British festival show they do all year.
