With a new album set for release in March and a full UK tour with label mates All Time Low on the books it’s all happening for cult US rockers Yellowcard in 2011!
And in a bid to ramp up the hype the band have opted to release new single For You, And Your Denial – immediately hailed as a rather tasty slice of things to come.
“We are all so excited to finally give you all some new music,” said the band in a joint statement. “We worked so hard on this new record, and this is just a preview of what you can expect when you get the full album on March 21. Tell everyone you know that Yellowcard is back! Enjoy the tune.”
Calling their latest opus “the product of thousands of miles of traveling to write together, hundreds of emails containing demos and new ideas, and finally eight weeks of 12-hour studio days, working together again as a full band,” Yellowcard can’t wait to get their new music heard.
With more than three million records sold, Ryan Key (vocals/guitar), Sean Mackin (violin), Longineu (“LP”) Parsons (drums), Ryan Mendez (guitar) will be joined by longtime friend of the band Sean O’Donnell (bass), whose addition has been described as a “natural fit” for the current mindset and progression of the group.
When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes was produced by Neal Avron, the “sixth member of the band” who has produced three of their previous albums including their breakthrough Ocean Avenue.
