In the week that new single Start Me Laughing thrusts Dead Confederate back into the limelight we’ve grabbed a clip of the band playing another of their cracking anthems live.

Guns is already a firm fan favourite and looks set to light up the US crew’s set at tonight’s Camden Barfly gig – a show which could also see the band debut new material from forthcoming album, due for release later this year.

Singer Hardy Morris said: “Our new record is going to be a bit more upbeat.  It has moments that are heavier and darker than the last record, but there are lots of songs that are different for us.  It’s been a challenge to put it all together.

“Our other recordings have kind of had this one vibe across the whole thing and this album has a lot more going on.  It should be interesting; we actually used major chords this time!”

Start Me Laughing was released yesterday and is backed with Heavy Petting – the opening track to last year’s fabulous Wrecking Ball album. To check out Guns (live) check out the following clip:
