Prog rock legends Pendragon are promising a gig to remember when they return to Newcastle next month – still riding high on the back of 2008’s critically acclaimed return to form, Pure.
Founder members Nick Barrett and Peter Gee play the city’s Legends venue on May 29 with support from local favourites DeeExpus. Last year’s Concerto Maximus DVD – Pendragon’s fourth in eight years – was shot in Katowice, Poland and led to a fresh wave of interest in one of the best live bands on the planet.
Tickets are available now from Seetickets and Ticketweb and very soon from Reflex Records and Legends. Promoters Electric Kicks told rushonrock: “We’re very excited to be bringing such a renowned prog band back to Tyneside after so long away.
“And the fact that they’re playing with DeeExpus – who have a string following throughout the North East and beyond – means it should be a night to remember for the region’s rock fans.”
