NWOBHM legends Saxon have revealed the opening band on the UK leg of their November tour with Celtic-influenced German metal crew Suidakra added to the bill.
The Teutonic trailblazers celebrate their 15th anniversary with their highest profile British shows to date and arrive on these shores on the back of US and Chinese shows.
Suidakra will be followed by rejuvenated Canadian metal monsters Anvil before Biff and the boys close what is sure to be one of the rock events of the year.
Suidakra will showcase tracks from new album Crógacht as well as dipping into the previous eight records which mark a prolific career. The band are Arkadius Antonik (vocals, guitar and keyboards), Marcus Riewaldt (bass), Lars Wehner (drums, backing vocals) and Sebastian Hintz (guitar, backing vocals).

Suidakra have favoured Celtic Mythology as themes for most of their albums, apart from delving into their Caledonia era for the Calendonia album in 2006. On their current album they have incorporated new elements including bagpipes, banjos and even tin whistles into the mix – as well as a 16 strong choir.
