suicide silence band resizeDevils incarnate Suicide Silence have just released one of the nastiest albums to cross the rushonrock threshold in many a year and now the US noise merchants are preparing to scare us shitless in person.

Yep, the extreme metal crew will join fellow ear bashers Devil Driver, Behemoth, Trigger The Bloodshed and Malefice in Newcastle on October 24 – a new date added to the original 2009 European Beastfeast itinerary.

And if you can listen to SS’s No Time To Bleed without breaking out into a cold sweat then that horrifying quintet could be just what you’re looking for at Newcastle’s Academy this autumn. Vocalist Mitch Lucker said: “We had the most awesome time when we came over for Download, got to see loads of great bands, had a blast hanging out with everyone and we’re all stoked at the huge number of people that came out to see us play on Sunday.

“We had so much fun that we’re coming back! This time we’ll be hitting the road alongside Devil Driver, a band we’ve wanted to tour with for a long time now. Plus there’s the almighty Behemoth and our buddies in Trigger The Bloodshed. We definitely owe the UK some love … these shows are going to be insane – come out for the party!”

Whether love is the right sentiment remains to be seen. The UK dates on the European Beastfeast are shaping up as follows:

16. Oct, London – Garage
17. Oct, London – Garage
18. Oct, Leeds– Rio’s
19. Oct, Glasgow – Garage
21. Oct, Manchester– Academy 2
23. Oct, Wolverhampton – Wulfrun Hall
24. Oct, Newcastle– Academy
