tesla1The band responsible for rushonrock‘s album of 2008 have revealed they will play Newcastle this summer – just weeks after confirming a coveted berth on this year’s Download ‘Classic Rock Sunday’ bill.

The US quintet roared back to top form last year with the release of hook-laden classic Forever More and guitarist Frank Hannon told this very website he was more than keen to bring the record in all its live glory to British shores.

And the news that Tesla will hit the Toon’s Academy 24 hours after their Download set – playing alongside the likes of Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Journey and ZZ Top – will thrill fans across the North East.

Forever More was released on vinyl earlier this year after earning rave reviews worldwide and you can view the video for Fallin Apart – one of the record’s outstanding tracks – at the band’s official website now. Go to www.teslatheband.com and ready yourself for what promises to be one of the rock events of the summer on May 15.

Needless to say we’ll be bringing you right up to date with Tesla with previews and interviews inked in for next month.
