It’s always a pleasant surprise when a band you’ve long since pigeon-holed as one trick ponies emerge as something a little bit special after all.
Punk rock cuties I Am Ghost might be many a rock fan’s cup of tea but here at rushonrock we always had them down as second division players riding on the back of Green Day, The Offspring et al.
Then we clapped eyes on a little four-song acoustic set and our heads were well and truly turned. Indeed this could very well be the future for IAG – just don’t tell their record label of the legion of die-hards who love what they do just the way they’ve always done it.
With new single Bone Garden out on December 8 there’s definitely a bit of a buzz about a five-piece blazing a trail across Europe right now – once again there’s no North East date on the cards 🙁 when they hit the road with Blessed By A Broken Heart next month – and if you click the following link you might just realise why.
Check out We Are Always Searching, Saddest Story Ever Told, So I Guess This Is Goodbye and Don’t Wake Up and then take a minute to remember this is IAG’s first ever acoustic set. Pretty impressive. Make that two trick ponies, at least.
