Kezia Gill @Newcastle Think Tank?, February 19 2026
Slow burner to one of the most explosive talents in modern country music?
Kezia Gill, take a bow.
In Nashville-birthed major label debut All On Red, the Derby-based pocket rocket delivers next-level dynamism.
And Gill’s incendiary live shows bring that remarkable record to life as a heady mix of Music City’s Broadway swagger — rooted in the best of British — sets a bold new standard.
For a singer songwriter who’s paid her dues and stayed true to her roots, now’s the time to reap the rewards and realise her potential.
Gill’s an exceptional, experienced campaigner with miles in the tank.
She’s played anywhere and everywhere in pursuit of the country rock and roll dream.
And it shows.
All those hard yards are paying off in spectacular fashion for a performer who’s spent 15 years honing her creative craft.
Finally, the stars are aligning — and the stars are surely lining up to grab a piece of the Gill action.
February’s UK headline tour feels like the end of the beginning for Snakefarm’s newest poster girl. Gill belongs on far bigger stages and beneath much brighter lights.
Refreshingly relatable and reliably focused, Gill’s got it all. And now she’s got All On Red too.
Performed live, the album’s sonics are punchier and its key themes are more powerful.
Trad country segues into Southern rock as reality bites and that experience counts.
Newcastle’s bulging Think Tank? was on Red alert and the best of the new tunes were belted out in typically bullish fashion: the emotionally charged juxtaposition of Barbed Wire and Love You Next effortlessly capturing the country staples of heartbreak and hope.
Life You Always Dreamed Of and Dublin’s Outta Whiskey are both dyed in affecting authenticity.
And This House Would Sing afforded Gill the perfect opportunity to reintroduce special guest Alyssa Bonagura — All On Red’s Music City-based producer and co-writer on a slew of album highlights.
A throaty throng of joy-filled Geordies might have found a mid-set line dance a step too far (floor space was at a serious premium inside a sold-out Think Tank?) but they made their voices heard on deep cuts Local Man’s Star and the brilliantly camp Oh Benidorm.
Gill has the life she’s always dreamed of… and she’s living it to the max.
