Good By Me

Tim Montana backstory

Country rocker Tim Montana is a man of many talents.

He might moonlight as a TV personality, marksman, father, husband, foodie, hot sauce connoisseur, hell-raiser and businessman but music is his first love.

And the dual release of Good By Me and I Ain’t Ashamed doubles down on the success of 2021 long player Long Shots.

Debut Iron Horse dropped in 2007 and 15 years down the line Montana is finally making good on that raw record’s obvious potential.

Nine years separated albums one and two but 2016’s Tim Montana And The Shrednecks set the scene for 2020’s American Thread and the critically acclaimed Long Shots.

Montana’s music has been selected as the theme song for World Series Championship runs, PBR, NHL games, NASCAR telecasts and action movies.

And his soaring reputation has cemented spots opening for Kid Rock and performing alongside the Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl.

Tim Montana’s Wild Side show is a staple of the Velocity Outdoor Channel and he regularly performs alongside ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons in the Whisker Brothers.

His second annual Tim Montana & Friends American Thread Sporting Clays Shoot raised $450,000 for two charities that benefit the US military.

In Tim Montana’s own words

“Love is greater than hate.

“If we’re good to one another, greet people with a smile and strike up a conversation, it will always break down walls.

“I’m really proud of what these two songs (Good By Me and I Ain’t Ashamed) stand for and it means a lot to me to share them with the world.”

The verdict on Good By Me

Looking for a feelgood song to soundtrack an increasingly troubled start to 2022?

Look no further than Good By Me.

The timely refrain of ‘good folks doing good things’ has rarely sounded more relevant.

And Montana’s affecting vocal digs deep during a wonderfully upbeat take on modern society.

Generous sweeps of steel guitar are fused with dreamy backing vocals and a simple, soul-searching riff.

Montana might have been there, done that and torn the sleeves off his checked shirt.

But as he closes in on 20 years as an all-guns-blazing country rocker, the 37-year-old has finally found his voice.

Good By Me? It’s good enough for us.
