Simon RushworthGuitar god Yngwie Malmsteen will release new album Blue Lightning later this month and the fret-burning Swede has gone on record to talk fans through his latest masterpiece.
Featuring carefully created covers and original material, the March 28 album will include new single While My Guitar Gently Weeps – released this week to a fanfare of critical acclaim.
Malmsteen said: “There were songs that were immediately clear I wanted to do…but then I also went for something like While My Guitar Gently Weeps which I wasn’t sure I could do. In this case, it was about trial and error. I am delighted that I was able to do justice to the original.”
