The Quireboys hit Leeds Rios tonight on the latest leg of their second UK headline tour of 2008 and in eight days’ time another triumphant jaunt will come to a suitably fitting end in Newcastle.
While we can’t wait for what promises to be the party of the festive season it was just too tempting to resists asking axeman Paul Geurin about the craic so far. And prior to last night’s sold-out show in Swansea he told rushonrock: “It’s been a blast!
“The whole tour’s been brilliant. We’ve been playing to packed houses every night and the atmosphere’s been superb. To know the finishing line’s in sight, and where that finishing line is, has given everyone an extra buzz these past few weeks.
“Don’t forget we’ve been out on the road for some time now – we were in Europe before returning to the UK – and we’ll be ready for that party in Newcastle.”
For a full interview with Blyth’s very own guitar hero Guerin check out rushonrock next week. And if you haven’t bought a ticket for December 22 yet then you’re a damn fool…
