James and the boys will bring the Death Magnetic world tour to the UK in 2009 and the Metro Radio Arena will host one of the most hotly anticipated shows in its history on March 3.
Sources suggest the show is set to become one of Newcastle’s biggest ever sellers with promoters using every available square foot of the arena to pack in as many metal heads as possible. And it is highly likely the band will look to perform in the round – just as they did the last time Tyneside rocked to a full blown Metallica arena show.
With AC/DC’s decision to ignore Newcastle bound to rankle with rock fans for months to come the news that the world’s biggest rock band ARE stopping off in our neck of the woods is a huge boost.
