Perhaps the ultimate Hair Metal Hero, expert crooner Joey Tempest combined pretty boy looks with a pretty special set of pipes to take the late 80s rock scene by storm.
As frontman with Europe he toured the world belting out The Final Countdown and countless other pop rock classics – setting the standards for a new breed of metal band.

We’ve been backing the Black Stone Cherry boys for some time now and it’s safe to say there can’t be many bands who’ve entertained us so often and so brilliantly throughout 2009.
With a new record in the pipeline for the second half of 2010 and no doubt yet another round of quality shows and festival slots to come we can only see the Edmonton, Kentucky quartet getting bigger. And bigger. And bigger.

Band of the moment, melodic rock superstars Europe, are keen to play Download in 2010 after admitting to casting envious eyes in the direction of this summer’s Classic Rock Sunday.
In his latest chat with rushonrock, singer Joey Tempest revealed the band will tour new hit record Last Look At Eden until spring next year before hitting the festival circuit full on.

Kip Winger has confirmed his band will play as many as nine live dates across the UK in March after admitting reaction to new record Karma has stunned the hair metal heroes.
Winger release their latest album in October before embarking on a full European tour in November. That leg of the Karma tour takes the band up to Christmas but Kip told rushonrock tonight: “We’re coming to the UK in the spring.
“There’s at least seven dates and I think there could be as many as nine. We’re going to cover as much of the country as we can and it looks like the whole thing could be in conjunction with Classic Rock Magazine.” Read the rest of this entry »
