So we’ve finally come down from the high that was High Voltage and we reckon the inaugural Victoria Park-based festival was a big hit!
So the walk from the tube was just a touch too far and the pork and stilton burgers lacked any bite but the bands were as brilliant as the weather.

It’s 20 years since A Bit Of What You Fancy launched the Quireboys as serious contenders in the rock world and two decades down the line they’re still going strong.
Guitar slinging Quireboy Guy Griffin has admitted the excitment is reaching fever pitch just five days away from the Hammersmith Apollo debut of British supergroup Down N Outz.
The Quireboys are back on home turf tonight as they open up for Thunder at Newcastle’s City Hall and lead singer Spike is in typically ebullient mood.
