It’s all done and dusted – rock legends Kiss will play Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena on Sunday May 2.
After initially missing the North East off next summer’s Sonic Boom European tour the boys have caved in to phenomenal demand and will headline the region’s biggest music venue.
Tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow via the internet and through telephone bookings. The Arena’s box office opens an hour later. See you there and get ready for a Kiss-tastic 2010 with rushonrock!

Kiss are rumoured to be on the verge of adding Newcastle to the UK leg of next summer’s Sonic Boom tour.
A concerted rushonrock campaign to bring Gene, Paul and the gang back to the North East followed the news that the Toon had missed out on the rock and roll veterans’ summer 2010 jaunt.
And sources close to the Kiss camp suggest the global stars have caved into the pressure with the band’s management working on an early May date. Watch this space and keep your fingers crossed for what would be a Crazy, Crazy Night!

Riding high on the back of their brilliant new album Sonic Boom, veteran rockers Kiss will bring their latest tour to UK arenas next summer.
Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and co. have won widespread acclaim for their best record in two decades and the clamour to see the original rock gods perform live has never been greater.
In response to that demand the band is playing four UK arena dates in May before embarking on a huge European tour throughout the summer – with rumours rife of a headline slot at Download 2010 on Friday June 11. Read the rest of this entry »

Kiss – Sonic Boom (Loud & Proud/Roadrunner Records)
Expecting very little from the first Kiss record in 11 years was rushonrock’s failsafe way of softening the blow and lessening the pain.
Surely a more optimistic outlook was only going to bring heartache and pain from a band which stopped making good records more than 20 years ago – even longer if you never really appreciated the band’s hair metal era.
