So the rushonrock team checked in to chalet 411, cracked open a couple of pre-match cans and thrashed (to old skool Metallica) out the schedule for the next 48 hours. It’s a tough job but somebody’s got to do it.
First up we headed to Stage 3 and the fantastic Voodoo Johnson got the weekend off to a classic rock-vibed stylish start. Frontman Kev was in cracking form and a capacity crowd loved every riff-soaked minute. And so to Remedy… Read the rest of this entry »

It’s Hard Rock Hell week on rushonrock and we’ve been talking to some of the star names headed for Prestatyn to find out what they make of 2009’s metal holiday camp.
Today we catch up with fast rising rock chick Jenn from Remedy as the Geordie band prepares to blow fans away from the Young Blood stage on Friday:
“I’ve organised press for bands playing HRH in the past but never been to the festival. In fact this is one of Remedy’s very first festivals and we can’t wait! I’m not sure what to expect but a lot of the people we know who are going to be there have promised to check us out. I’m looking forward to checking out our good mates Logan and Voodoo Johnson. And I’m looking forward to having a bloody good time!”

Legendary sleaze rockers LA Guns are heading to Tyneside next month for what is fast becoming one of the busiest nights on the North East rock calendar!
Founder member Tracii Guns and his crew hit Legends (appropriately enough) on September 17 for what is sure to be one of the dirtiest rock and roll gigs of the year.
But down the road at the o2 Academy resurgent metal crew INME are taking to the stage and up the road there’s the latest Jeff Fest featuring none other than Hard Rock hell-bound local heroes Remedy. Phew! Talk about a potentially tricky triple booking in the rushonrock diary… Read the rest of this entry »
