Multi-million selling melodic rock masters Europe kick off their UK tour in Leeds tomorrow riding high on the back of Swedish chart topper Last Look At Eden.

They’re one of our favourite new bands and they’re keeping trad metal alive – Manchester’s Fury UK are fast becoming the band to watch in 2010!
After wrapping up their latest high profile run of dates, as support to MSG, the band are already confirmed for 2010’s Hammerfest and have grand plans for the next 12 months.

He’s one of Sweden’s favourite rock DJs but you’ll probably know him better as the man who beats the crap out of the drumkit whenever Europe hit town.
Ian Haugland has seen it, done it and bought the T-shirt as a fully fledged member of the hair metal legends and he’s ready to do it all again after landing at number one in his native Sweden with the brilliant Last Look At Eden.

Kiss can count on celebrity fans the world over but the majority only latched on to the band when they became household names on the 70s rock circuit.
Here at rushonrock we tracked down one famous face from the late 80s who actually witnessed the band beofre they made it big – an immediately liked what he saw. Ten years ago this month a North East institution closed its doors for the final time as The Mayfair made way for a massive cinema, restaurants and bars now known as The Gate.
Spanning four decades as the biggest rock club in Europe, the venue played host to every guitar band worht its salt including the likes of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Guns N Roses and, famously, Nirvana.
