SONISPHERE: DAY TWO

So Sonisphere is gearing up for an Iron Maiden-inspired finale and we’d be expecting fireworks – if Rammstein hadn’t already used them up last night.

Our man Adam S is back with his round-up of the Day Two action featuring the mighty Rammstein and the enduring Motley Crue plus a whole load more.

Maid For Metal

If you haven’t done so already then now’s the time to download the brand new Iron Maiden track El Dorado – for free via the band’s official website.

Bruce Dickinson and the boys have announced full details of their 15th studio album with The Final Frontier due for release on August 16.

And as a taster for what promises to be another mighty metal beast you’d be mad to miss out on a cracking new tune. Dickinson said: “El Dorado is a preview of the forthcoming studio album. Maiden Prestatyn

NWOBHM fans are in for a double treat at Hard Rock Hell: Pirates Of Prestatyn after festival chiefs announced the latest big names to bag main stage slots.

Original Iron Maiden singer Paul Di Anno will play a set full to bursting of classic tracks from the Killers and Iron Maiden albums.

We’re already looking forward to catching Kiss on their UK arena tour, AC/DC at Download and a whole load of other loud and proud rock and roll heroes strutting their stuff.

Rock Wars

eddieSonisphere may have stolen a march on its rivals in the race to become crowned the summer festival of 2010 – naming Iron Maiden, Rammstein and Alice Cooper among its confirmed acts – but next year’s new kid on the block has hit back in some style.

The Classic Rock conceived High Voltage two-dayer had already named ELP and ZZ Top as co-headliners and now Foreigner, Focus, Black Label Society and Clutch have been added to the bill.
