Absence might make the heart grow fonder but the more time you spend in the company of Dear Superstar and New Device the more likely you are to feel your heart racing and your head spinning. Those who missed this missed out for many. many reasons. Read the rest of this entry »

rushonrock faves Dear Superstar head out on the road again this summer prior to the release of their brand new album – slated for later this year.

One of the hardest working bands on the planet hook up with New Device for a May/June trek before heading into Europe with long-time touring buddies Papa Roach.

And frontman Micky Satiar said: “The past year has been insane. We’ve achieved things we could have only ever dreamed of so I’m so psyched to be back out on the road again and this time on our own!

“We’re really gonna show the UK what were made of!”

This will be Dear Superstar’s last UK tour before the band finish their new record for Demolition Records’ Dr2 imprint. And Satiar can’t wait to get back together with New Device. Read the rest of this entry »

Review – Heaven’s Basement & Dear Superstar

Posted by simon On December - 12 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

dear-superstar-papa@ Newcastle o2 Academy, December 11 2009

Brash tattoos, plenty of eyeliner and a tongue hanging out the corner of your mouth is a standard recipe for any Nu-Metal band.

And Dear Superstar seem to have the lot complete with an almost too cocky lead singer in Micky Satiar. What he may lack in vocal ability is certainly made up for with stage presence as he bounces around stage with maximum charisma. DS put in a solid performance and one that shows they won’t be also-rans forever. Read the rest of this entry »
