He’s the pint sized vocal pocket rocket behind one of Britain’s best new bands and we’re delighted that Richard Carter has become the latest star to bare all on the rushonrock Rider!
Fresh faced but far from innocent, the self-styled screamer adds a raw edge to Blackhole’s punk metal and his posse is destined to go far – as those who caught the boys on their recent UK headline tour will testify.
But beneath the aggressive surface lies a normal kid who likes normal things. Well, just about. Read the rest of this entry »

INME (pictured) are one of a slew of bands taking to the stage this week and we’re going live crazy in a bid to bring you the very best of the gig action.
Next weekend might be the Great North Run but we’re gearing up for a rock marathon on Thursday as Dave McPherson’s mob, celebrating today’s release of Herald Moth, go head to head with LA Guns and Fables Last Stand plus the 2009 Jeff Fest. Three venues, too many bands and only one website capable of bringing you all the action first!
But a truly bonkers week kicks off tonight with Mammal at the End Bar and Blackhole preparing to blitz a Newcastle o2 Academy crowd. Random Hand check into Northumbria University on Tuesday and 24 hours later, at the same venue, The Used showcase their new record. Wednesday also sees Dirty Rock And Roll return to action at Newcastle’s Head Of Steam. Read the rest of this entry »
