With a new record in the pipeline for the second half of 2010 and no doubt yet another round of quality shows and festival slots to come we can only see the Edmonton, Kentucky quartet getting bigger. And bigger. And bigger.

But before they do we caught up with frontman Chris Robertson for a final bite of the ‘Cherry this year. Read the rest of this entry »

Black Or Write?

bsc-folklorerushonrock faves Black Stone Cherry will make a decision in the New Year whether to carry on touring hit record Folklore & Superstition (pictured) or begin writing the follow-up to their hugely successful second album.

The US stars complete a headline tour of the UK later this month before a handful of European shows before November. The boys head home for a couple of charity gigs in the build-up to Christmas – before decision day on their immediate future.

“Come January we need to know whether we’re sitting down to write a new record or whether we’re going to give F&S one last twirl,” singer Chris Robertson told rushonrock. Read the rest of this entry »

Review – Black Stone Cherry, Loaded & The Parlor Mob

Posted by simon On October - 19 - 2009 ADD COMMENTS

bsc-new@ Newcastle o2 Academy, October 19 2009

According to Black Stone Cherry frontman Chris Robertson the Kentucky, Edmonton crew didn’t get into rock n roll to drink beer and ‘meet’ women.

That might seem a little crazy to all you spotty kids out there convinced a band is the only way to guarantee four packs and foreplay but it means the best emerging rock band on the planet is fully focused on the music. And when the music’s this good you just don’t want pints and groupies to spoil the party. Read the rest of this entry »
