Metal fans are Running Out Of Time in the race to jump aboard the Mercury Rising bandwagon as one of the UK’s hottest new acts readies this summer’s must-hear EP.

And Rushonrock has bagged yet another big video exclusive on the day the Essex quartet releases its brand new single.

Running Out Of Time is the lead track from Paradise For A Troubled Mind.

And the NWOBHM-styled hard rocker gives British metal a welcome shot in the arm with blazing riffs and a visceral vocal.

Frontman Max Campbell said: “It feels like forever that we’ve been gearing up to getting the new single out there.

“It’s so exciting to share the first song off the EP and we can’t wait for the full launch next month.

“Making Paradise For A Troubled Mind has been a really rewarding process and we’ve overcome a lot of obstacles to get it done. It shows in the finished product.

“We’ve tried but we can’t really categorise what we’ve created. And we’re really proud of that!”

New recruit Stephen Ellis makes his presence felt on Running Out Of Time and the ex-Kaine bassist has emerged a key figure in the Mercury Rising camp after making his live debut last year.

“I’m really happy to be a part of this line-up,” he said. “I’ve been a fan of Mercury Rising since I heard the Bad News EP.

“I heard the demos of the new tracks when I stepped in for a few gigs last year and I instantly thought it was the best material the guys had written.

“Since then the tracks have evolved with everybody’s creative input and, in my opinion, they sound as good as they can. It’s a monster of an EP and I can’t wait to let it loose on the world!”

Mercury Rising launch the Paradise For A Trouble Mind EP at the Devonshire Arms in Camden on June 22. The band will be joined by Daxx & Roxane.

Running Out Of Time is available now across digital platforms.
