Memoriam have linked up with acclaimed producer Russ Russell for the recording of their third album – which is set for a summer release.

The UK death metal act – featuring former Bolt Thrower members Karl Willets and Andrew Whale, Benediction bassist Frank Healy and guitarist Scott Fairfax  –  are currently holed up in Parlour Studios in Kettering, crafting a follow-up to 2018’s The Silent Vigil.

Russell has manned the desk for extreme metal royalty in the past – and has undertaken production duties for the likes of Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir, At The Gates and Amorphis, among others.

Memoriam stated: “Personally we think this is the album people wanted to hear from us when we set out with Memoriam, a big gritty production, aggressive vocals and music and a few curve-balls thrown in to keep the grey matter active!

“In hindsight it feels like the previous two albums were a preparation for this one. Our most satisfying work personally to date. We hope you feel the same once you get to hear it.”
