He may have left us underwhelmed on his last UK tour but the only way is up for ex-Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach.

And March has seen the king of rock crooners back in the studio laying down vocal tracks for his latest – and let’s hope his greatest – solo record.

The new record is due this summer with EMI slated to release the album worldwide – including the UK. Ever the modest frontman Back Tweeted today: “Cant … stop.. listening… to rough mixes! haha wait till u hear this rockers! whazzup!

“I’ve had a great day. Very happy with vocal sound. Clear, clean and loud. I am digging it.”

While we were expecting the ‘loud’ it’s good to hear that the vocals are clear and clean on the follow-up to the frankly disappointing 2007 effort Angel Down.

The highlights on that record remain Bach’s collaborations with Axl Rose and here at rushonrock we’ve got fingers crossed that one of the finest vocalists of the last 20 years returns to his melodic rock roots…
