We’re already taking bets on the best live tour of 2011 and if the Journey/Foreigner/Styx triple header had stolen a march on its rivals then the return of Paul Rodgers could be a contender.

Throw in the fact that the Voice Of Rock will be supported by the Down N Outz and this could be a match made in muso heaven.

Rodgers will take his solo show out on the road next April with tickets in sale this Friday.

And Down N Outz guitarist Paul Guerin can’t wait to hit the road with one of rock’s all-time greats following the success of the latest Bad Company reunion tour.

“Paul has still got it when it comes to singing note perfect blues rock,” said Guerin – on the road with the Quireboys right now and preparing for a trip to Sao Paulo later this month.

“It’s a great opportunity for the Down N Outz to get out there again after what’s been a pretty successful debut year for the band.

“And I’m looking forward to watching Paul in action every night. It doesn’t get much better.”
