More good news for fans of the North East live scene after US blues rockers Great White insisted they can’t wait to reprise their 2008 Newcastle Academy show.
Speaking exclusively to rushonrock from his Palm Springs home, frontman Jack Russell admitted last year’s Toon show still rates among the very best the reformed band has played.
And with new record Rising already winning rave reviews over here (including a ror 8/10) it seems it’s only a matter of time before the platinum-selling act return to these shores. “Obviously the economic climate is very different now to what it was at the beginning of last year,” Russell said.
“But the sooner we get back over to Britain the better. That Newcastle show was great and the whole UK tour supporting Back To The Rhythm went way better than we expected. I remember enjoying a few Newcastle Browns on Tyneside that night and I’ll be cracking open a few more this weekend!
“The guys are heading over for a barbecue and some rehearsal time before we go out on the next leg of our US tour. Brown Ale goes great with a BBQ over here.”
