Workaholic Ricky Warwick will release his third solo album, Belfast Confetti, via Tyneside-based label Global Music with a full tour to follow later this year. The Scottish rocker remains one of the hardest grafting musos on the scene and despite the success enjoyed by the reformed metal monsters Almighty, a busy 2009 will be dedicated to pushing what promises to be one of the acoustic records of the year.

“I found myself looking deeper into the well for this record,” he said. “Each song is not unlike a prayer. Belfast Confetti is a collection of stories – my own, my family’s and my friends, most of whom are now scattered all over the world. But when talk turns to home their eyes light up and the reminiscing begins.”

Warwick’s new record will be released on April 27 via Global Music imprint DR2 and the multi-talented singer songwriter will turn his attention to touring and the festival circuit this summer.
