Shinedown On Up

Posted by simon On November - 17 - 2008

They might not have made it big on this side of The Pond yet…

…but Shinedown will be the rock band everybody is talking about in 2009 if new single Devour is anything to go by.

Already big sellers back in the States there’s a big push afoot to establish the Jacksonville, Florida boys as major players over here. And here at rushonrock we see absolutely no reason whatsoever why their straight ahead style of heavy rock can’t compete with the likes of Nickelback in the very near future.

Sadly there are no plans as yet for the fist-pumping five piece to make it to the North East in the near future but January dates in Manchester and Glasgow are well within our reach. With their latest album The Sound Of Madness making a long-awaited appearance in the UK in March (it debuted at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 this summer) it will be impossible to avoid Shinedown in six months’ time.

We’re giving you the nod well in advance so take up the tip and check ‘em out below…
